It describes the FIRST meeting between President Bush and Barack Obama:

Bush then offered some to Obama, who recalled: "Not wanting to seem unhygienic, I took a squirt."
ok I have to bust MTO out for lying... this is an excerpt from Obama's book, and they played it on the news last night because Barack actually does the audio reading for it-the line that was not added was Bush said the sanitizer helps from catching colds since they shake so many hands-trust I'm no Bush fan at all, but I hate when a person tells ONLY PART of a story!!!! I'm not a Bush Fan by any means but you're taking the excerpt from Barack's book out of context. Yes, Bush did use a hand sanitizer but many politicians do because of the touchy feely requirement of their job. Instead of focusing so much on such a petty aspect of their first encounter, let's analyze what was said at that meeting. Bush offered Barack some valuable advice. He simply coached him to watch his back because he knew he was going to be a significant figure in American history.

I had this old man i worked with and i shook his hand daily at the end of my shift , i washed my hand with a bottle of water i keep in my car or sani,if he offer me anything to eat , it had to be open by me first . bush doing that is not a big deal , normal people do it all the time

Please don't get me wrong. I'm not fond of Bush either however, I do the same thing. I never know if I've run into someone that just pet a cat (i'm allergic), or used the restroom and didn't wash their hands. I keep a small bottle of sanitizer at work, home, in my purse, etc. I wouldn't take it personally. Trust Bush will give us something we can really shake our heads at soon. Okay, I would NEVER feel the need to defend Bush, but if you followed the 2000 election, it is a well-documented fact that George Bush HATES the thought of shaking hands...period! I wash my hands after touching door knobs and if I'm shaking hands in church, when I sit down, I get out the sanitizer and squirt my hands. The people behind me don't see it. I rarely have a cold. I didn't have one at all last year.
I never put my hands on escalators either. They've found so many germs on those things. I use my elbow to maintain myself on the rail. I use the back of my knuckle to hit elevator buttons.
I'm always conscious about my kitchen sponge too; they harbor a lot of bacteria.
I know many people who refuse to eat at buffets too. The sanitary hoods are there but people's hands, especially children's still go under it. The handles on salad dressings and all the spoons in the dishes are handled too.
At work I always wipe down my keyboard with Lysol wipes. I don't know who might've used my computer before or after work.

I think this type of propagandist pettiness in the media is perpetuating an atmosphere of distrust and division between blacks and whites.
