: MediaTakeOut.com just got wind of Beyonce's EARLY sales estimates. And according to one of our snitches over at Sony, Beyonce's new album I Am ... Sasha Fierce is poised to sell between 500,000 and 600,000 units in its first week.
But if you think that's good, think again. In an interview given to Billboard magazine last week, Beyonce's manager and father Mathew Knowles discussed how many units he expected Beyonce to sell.
Here's an excerpt:
“I think we’ll sell 750,000 to 1 million copies [in the] first week,” says Music World head Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé’s father and manager.Don't worry Bey and Matt, 550,000 units ain't nothing to sneeze at in this market.“I know that’s ambitious with the declining market, but Beyoncé is so focused on transitioning from pop star to icon that we’re paying attention to every single detail.”
I was a little mad that the Deluxe album only had 16 songs when she said she recorded over 70 in the studio so she could have added more. Now that I said that, I really like the album. I like all the songs except for Scared of Lonely. I already knew some ppl wouldn't care for this album because it's more popish (although I felt like she has always been pop) but some ppl a.k.a black ppl refuse to listen to pop but I loved it! Anyway, I didn't waste my money!
She needs to quit while she's ahead. How many strippers are icons? Stop trying so hard and just have fun with what you do Bey. Take a note from Patti, a true icon! Sales don't make you legendary, you can be here 2day and gone 2morrow, if she doesn't start doing something original and noteworthy. Right now she's just a cookie cutter artist, easily replaceable.

After hearing a few of the songs on her cd, I think I am going to buy this one. A couple of them do sound a little poppish but they still sound good. She is trying to get into a whole new market, even though I thought she was doing okay in the beginning. You can't knock this girl for trying to knock open the ceiling.
People dont see what she did. She's not gonna do no 700k in her first week because its not Black Friday when niccas go out and buy albums. She dropped it a week before! Her voice is SUPERB on that "If I Was a Boy Song"-it was made for her voice. It's one of those songs that can't be denied because her voice overpowered whatever you may not like about it (melodically).
And I'm also feeling that "Diva" song-she gets it on. I must say, I'm sorry.
I'm feeling this new thing (SashaFierce) she's coming out with and I can't wait to see it play out. Beyonce's a workhorse and you can't take that away from her though. Hats off and kudos to her.
I was really surprised that this album is good seriously but I don't buy any cd at all I always get them off of mininova, but anywho this is a good cd, and too all of you that hate you'll never get anywhere in life like that, If she wasn't in that fake marriage I think she would have sold 700,000 alicia keys did last year her 1st week.

She had the AUDACITY to sit there and tell the interviewer that she wanted to get deep on this album and the concept from If I were a BOy came about when she was day-dreaming what it would be like if the tables between women and men were reversed.
She said all of that, with a PLAIN STRAIGHT face. Now she's either a very manipulative person, delusional, or psychotic to not only credit a song as her own, but to go so far as to tell viewers how she formed the concept of this song!
I'm sorry I know Beyonce loyal fans are going to call me a "hater" (which by the way is the most over abused and cliche word they only think of), but I CANNOT comprehend WHY anybody can have love for this OBVIOUSLY MANIPULATIVE and DELUSIONAL liar! It makes no sense. I never disliked an artist as much as I dislike Beyonce. Not Beyonce personally, but I dislike her work ethics, her disloyalty to her "friends" (kelly and michelle), her dishonesty to her fans, her parasitic behavior (stealing/coping songs and others styles) and her promiscious stage behavior (which signals to young girls that it's perfectly fine to pop your coochie and even show it). She sends a BAD message to young girls and women with low self-esteem. That message suggest that its perfectly fine to present yourself like a HOOKER as long as you making that PAPER. Well I have a nice body too but I would never, ever think of compromising my morals, sell my body, and shame my family name all for the dollar.
Money comes and goes but respect and dignity aren't easily restored.
This is the first of Beyonce's albums I'm not buying because I simply don't like the music on it. This is the second time I've heard she or her father use the word "icon". They are so busy trying to make her into this mega star that they are losing focus of her true talents. If she does what she does naturally, she will earn that title over time, a lot of time. Nobody is an icon at 25 or 30, and you don't give that title to yourself. There's nothing wrong with having dreams ans goals and striving for the best, but Lena Horne, Diana Ross, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, etc. are all icons, Beyonce is not, and not even close. She's a good performer who has had some hit records. An icon that does not make, at least not yet. What massive, out of control egos the Knowles family has; they have no humility, and it's a turn-off that could hurt Beyonce's career (and not even get Solange's going).
Lil wayne album may sell more in the first week but beyonce will surely sell more overally.I know the haters will be praying for her to flop but even if she well 500k it will still go for no1 on the album charts and will still be greater sales than all your favorite artist. The only reason alicia album reach 700k because it was around the holidays and the market was just fine.

Cazatuz, my BDay cd didn't even have 15 songs on it but 10...I got the dvd with it though...I think she re-released it or something with the added songs on it? I was mad I didn't get Flaws and All..I LOVE that song...

Oh and did anyone see Tina Turner's concert from Amsterdam arena? She showed clips of her and Bey practicing for their performance earlier this year...Tina's concert was fabulous and she looked great!
