With all the press about his latest statements at the American Music Awards, I completely missed the fact that he had an album coming out. And that's a big deal since I was one of the people who intended to pick it up... I will though and I'm happy for him..though, as I said, he hurt his sales with antics... If he hadn't overshadowed his release date by "giving away" the American Music Award and saying he wants to be Elvis, he might have sold at least 300K more...Radio stations turned the days before his album came out (assuming MTO is right and it has) into a Kanye carnival, with his always questionable behavior the focal point...

I will not be purchasing either CD but good luck to both artists.

I like both Ludacris' and Kanye West's albums. They are both very different, yet entertaining. I admire Kanye for trying to do something different, and not staying in that box rappers are put into. I like the c.d., but I like his others better. My personal preference is just him as a rapper as opposed to a singer, but I still appreciate his efforts, and creative artistry.

I believe he deserves the attention. Look at the MAJOR trendsetters following after him... JAY-Z is one big example. I don't know who told him he could pull it off, but he's definitely influenced by Mr. West.
