: MediaTakeOut.com just caught wind that former NFL star Plaxico Burress is looking to get out from under his 8,000 square foot manion. According to reports, Plaxico - who was recently deactivated by the NY Gaints - is looking to conserve cash.

Don't believe it. It's meant to trick us into believing he's being punished somehow. Just like the suspension...He was already injured and being shot (or grazed, as some say) would have made it so that he would have been out longer anyway. Okay, he isn't getting paid for the rest of the year, right? Okkkay..So, that totally makes him incapable of paying for his home. I think it's a trick... but maybe he does live "check to check" and spends millions a year like an idiot. His house looks nice. His life doesn't.

Has it occured to anyone that Plaxico knows that his time playing for the Giants is done. Right now is not a great time in the housing market, so imagine how it is for a multi-million dollar property. He is actually doing something extremely intelligent as far as putting his "house" in order. It may not be until next fall that he gets an acceptable offer on his house.

u know this is really sad!!! i am so tired everybody wanting to be a thug!! why would his dumb a@@ even go somewhere where he feels isn't safe enough to go gunless!! i think he deserves this because he's dumb!! first off he took a loaded weapon in a nyc club(i've been there in the vip is tight, u can raise your hand and touch the ceiling) he should be really happy that all he might be losing is a house and his money and might face a lil bit of time(which he deserves) because what if he would've shot someone else and killed them!! he would 've been locked up longer and had no house and no money!! thank god he shot his self!!
I feel that he did act irresponsible when will these black rich ignorant unlearned nfl/nba players learn. They all need some kind of training before going professional, however, i do not feel like his crime warrant such a harsh punishment there are people walking around free and jobs are not threanted that have done far more wrong than this guy. I feel the same way about the punishment for Micheal Vick unbelievable and should not have happened over a damn dog. People lives are taken drugs on the street are these people being punish hell no. He's not broke, and I don't believe he's selling. If his is maybe it's becasue everyone knows where he lives now! His career is not over, if he doesn't return to the giants someone else will pick him up. Kind of surprised at the way people respond to this situation. Honestly the only thing he did wrong was carry a gun he has no license on. Lets keep it real atheletes & entertainers get robbed all of the time, and if I were him I'd protect what I have as well. People can make the argument that if he has to carry a gun he shouldn't go to certain places which might be true, but he still has to leave his home. Players are getting killed in their homes, robbed in front of their houses etc. The worst part about being an athelete is that your salary makes for discussion on every major news & sports show.
