Yes, they are reading to the children at the public school. There are people all over who go to schools and read to children. Not impressive! Take notice that they are not reading at their childrens' school. Why not? They chose to send their children to an elite Quaker private school. They could have sent them to a public school [charter school] in the area. He wanted the job. Most of us send our children to the school in the area where we reside. President Jimmy Carter sent his daughter, Amy, to public school. Secret Service accompanies the children to school regardless of where they attend- public or private school. We have real issues in this country that need to be handled. The inauguration was a grand party. There was the first formal dinner this pat weekend, the Alfalfa dinner, at the White House. Sunday he had a Superbowl party. All the playing is good. The Presidency is a serious job. I am not impressed by the cool because I see nothing getting done. All I see is a series of terrible appointments with issues. Where is the judgement? Saying to the press "I screwed up" is meaningless to me. Use better judgement, not an apology. "My bad" only goes so far. I am more concerned about my green(my money)than the president being black. There has to be accountability from Obama, too. We cannot just keep saying MY President Is Black and rejoicing. This is the real world. Our needs as citizen and our well-being, especially as blacks, matter, too. It takes green to feed you, keep a roof over your head, and wheels under your a**. President Obama always references Lincoln. But, if we know history it was Fredrick Douglass prompting Lincoln so that he, too, would actually follow through on his promises of change. I didn't get the chance to conversant with him, I was in a spot where his motorcade came through, he sat in the car while on his cell phone, I was crying just standing there looking at him, when he got out of the car I had my camera but I was trying to look at him and take his pic, they aren't good pics bc I was shaking like a leaf (LOL) and I was trying to look at him. TODAY these things are all but GONE, and it took 8 years to do so. Stormzoe, I do not know you, matters not what your political allegiances are, how old you are, or how many insults you can hurl to anyone while receiving some, or your distain for this current President preliminary decisions, his stimulus package proposal, or his family's decision of their children’s schooling. If in fact you are legitimacy posting your views, along with the others who agree with you, and truly are not some fictitious individual looking to evoke a blogging mutiny, I say this...It is not wise to initiate statements and wishes that will not change a system for all under its influence. @Dagreat1 Where in any of my posts did I blame Obama for the economy? It is obviously too soon to do that. If you want to be honest if the Goverment were to get out of the way of the economy it would do a lot better than it really is. My problem with what I'm seeing is that Obama was suppose to be different. Just his words alone would change Washington and like I said before the election he is no different than any other Democrat politician except for his skin color. Also, If you want to have a grown man's conversation let's have one and cut out all the nicknames you like to call other people. Let's see if what the Democrats are putting forward is going to work. They do not need one Republican vote to pass this bill, not one. So I'm not sure why the President is doing what he does best and that's campaign. Pass the Bill Democrats let's see if it works. I will assure you that it is not going to.
