: MediaTakeOut.com received reports that R&B singer Usher canceled a performance Saturday night to rush to his ailing wife's side, according to a report. According to Access Hollywood, Usher skipped Clive Davis' pre-Grammy bash after his wife Tameka experienced complications from plastic surgery in Brazil.
A neurosurgeon is reportedly on the way to South America to aid Usher's wife of a little over a year. The "Love in this Club" crooner's cancellation was due to a "serious illness in the family," Davis announced at the party, but didn't elaborate further.
Tameka gave birth to the couple's second son, Naviyd Ely Raymond, in December.
um, what the fukk she was gettin done in brazil? im sure usher has enough money to fund her surgery by someone who aint in a small dusty ass office.

sincerely hope Tameka is fine. But I have a lot of questions: Nothing about you physically says stereotypical, so why give in to Hollywood’s standards of beauty? Why go to Brazil? Why not hire a personal trainer to get your body back in shape? Why keep having babies every year if you want a flat stomach? Why have procedure when we all know you’re gonna be pregnant or giving birth again in 10-12 months anyway? Just . . . why?
I've always heard that plastic surgery is cheaper when done in other countries, but even still, money should not be an issue for Tameka.
I wish her well, but I wonder if this is all a ploy for Usher to be by her side. I was reading an article that stated Usher's people did not want Tameka involved in the making of his next album.

Why would any woman have a procedure of this nature after having a child? The doctors that did this is gonna have a lot of explaining to do. Since when are you being a good husband when you let your wife go to Brazil by herself to have surgery and then only after there are complications decide to fly there? How is that being a good husband at all? When you have their kind of money I'm pretty sure you can schedule an appropriate time and place for both of you to be there and have the surgery.
Also to all the comments about having surgey outside of this country - you better do some research and realize that the US has some of the worst hospitals compared to most countries on our level. Albeit Brazil is not really one of them, but more and more people are flying around the world to get cheaper and better surgeries elsewhere, especially India.
