: MediaTakeOut.com just got some BREAKING NEWS. According to a person close to Rihanna, the R&B singer will not file criminal charges against R&B singer Chris Brown for assault and battery.
Last night, Chris Brown was arrested and released on $50,000 bail in connection with an alleged assault against R&B singer Rihanna Fenty. As MediaTakeOut.com reported to you yesterday, Chris and Rihanna got into a scuffle while leaving Saturday night’s Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party.
A person close to the situation told MediaTakeOut.com that the scuffle was caused by the couple’s recent break up. As MediaTakeOut.com reported to you weeks ago, the couple had been ratcheting down on their high-profile love affair. Numerous sources confirmed to MediaTakeOut.com that Chris wanted to END the relationship - but Rihanna didn’t.
We should be clear. It's not clear what occurred during the scuffle - or who did what to whom.
But things have changed since Saturday night. Now MediaTakeOut.com can EXCLUSIVELY report that Rihanna does NOT want Chris Brown to be criminally punished for the alleged assault. According to an EXTREMELY reliable insider, Rihanna is NO LONGER assisting investigators in their criminal case against Chris Brown.
Unfortunately for Chris, that’s probably not going to make the charges go away. Police claim that, on the scene of the incident, Rihanna identified Chris Brown as the man who assaulted her. February 10, 2009. Yesterday MediaTakeOut.com told you that Rihanna did not want to help police prosecute Chris Brown. Our insider believed that it was because she didn’t want Chris to go to prison. But now it appears that there may be another reason.
While the L.A. Times claims that Rihanna is “cooperating” with police, E! News is claiming that Rihanna IS NOT cooperating fully with police. Specifically, she’s refusing to answer questions surrounding why the couple argued.
Here’s what E! News is reporting:
“Rihanna has been reluctant to reveal to investigators specifically what the couple had been arguing about before it turned physical.”
So sad because this is usually how it goes when one party is not with the break up. This relationship is volitale and all the publicity makes it even worse I think. Herpes simplex type-1 doesn't TURN into Herpes simplex type-2! LMFAO They're two similar (sharing 50-70& of their DNA) but DIFFERENT viruses. Herpes simplex type-1 commonly affects the mouth and face but can also be transmitted to the genitals. It's still TYPE-1 though, just located on the genitals. IE, genital herpes can be caused by either type-1 OR type-2.
We don't know what type Rihanna has on her lip, or who gave it to her. She could have contracted it from kissing Chris or performing oral sex on him. She could have contracted it in childhood as many children do from their parents kissing them or from an infected child at school when kids put their mouths on everything. Point is, most people have some form of herpes and the majority of the population (estimated 80-90%) has type-1 because it's a highly contagious virus!
You people should be ashamed for branding Rihanna as some filthy, cheating 'whore' because she's unlucky in that she has outbreaks and your ass just probably is lucky not to get them. Not having a sore doesn't mean you're 'clean' and you will most likely never know b/c providers do not typically diagnose herpes through blood tests but through VISUAL diagnosis. So many people have it and for the most part it's not dangerous, so it's not seen as cost effective by health care insurances to cover blood testing for herpes.

Herpes simplex type-1 commonly affects the mouth and face but can also be transmitted to the genitals. It's still TYPE-1 though, just located on the genitals. IE, genital herpes can be caused by either type-1 OR type-2.
We don't know what type Rihanna has on her lip, or who gave it to her. She could have contracted it from kissing Chris or performing oral sex on him. She could have contracted it in childhood as many children do from their parents kissing them or from an infected child at school when kids put their mouths on everything. Point is, most people have some form of herpes and the majority of the population (estimated 80-90%) has type-1 because it's a highly contagious virus!

It's really sad when you think about it - that a woman can love someone who's beating her more than she loves herself.
I remember when I was in the 6th grade, my neighbor beat his wife. There were three men outside who did nothing but chit chat after the incident... having a jolly time about whatever they were discussing. My mother was the only one who said anything. She asked these men how could they sit there and do nothing. The next day, the woman was back in the house with the same man who beat her a.s.s. the day before and my mother felt stupid for coming to her defense. She understood why men do nothing in these situations... why interfere when most of the time, the women go back anyway? It's ridiculous. It's a lesson learned as well for me, but I let that piece of s.h.i.t. know that he was going to have his freedom and he walked away. There is nothing "cute" or lovey dovey about a black eye and bruised body. :-| Women who think that's love need psychological help.

I don't think anything about this story is funny, sensational or entertaining. What we have right now is a bunch of people speculating on the comments of unidentified persons. None of us know what happened or who did what to whom. I could speculate all night...herpes, cheating, dysfunctional families, she him first, no he hit her back, kids growing up too fast, anger management, etc. I still don't know what happened. I feel badly for Chris and Rihanna because things have obviously gone wrong for a reason. I am so sorry that this incident has happened. It is always sad when there is the presence of domestic violence. Unfortunately, the law says that when a woman makes the complaint- it is no longer between her and the man when she wants to cancel the charge. It now becomes as issue between the person charged and the STATE.
This couple already have history of abuse in their families. Rihanna's father was a crack addict, but eventually stopped when the children started to come. She was old enough to see the foil paper and burning and his long visits to the bathroom. Chris has said many times that he cannot stand his father because he recalls the blood from the inflicted wounds he left upon his mother. This does not explain away his hitting any woman, however, it has been shown that abusers often raise abusers. One might not physically put their hands on another, but emotional and verbal abuse is just as poignant and horrible.

If it is true that he's now hiding out in a hotel room, then he is making this sitatuiion look a lot worse on his behalf. An innocent person would be pleading their case. His PR team know the deal, hence why they haven't released a statement contradicting the police report. The source said the 20-year-old performer, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is providing “ongoing” cooperation with detectives who booked Brown on Sunday on suspicion of making criminal threats against her.
An early-morning altercation with Brown following a pre-Grammy Awards party left Rihanna with bruises and a scratch to her face, according to police sources. Her injuries were treated at a “major medical facility,” a police source said.
Brown, a 19-year-old with a double-platinum record and dance moves frequently compared to those of Michael Jackson, had fled before officers arrived, police said.
He remained free on $50,000 bail, but neither he nor his attorney would speak about allegations that rocked the Grammys ceremony. Both Brown and Rihanna were nominated, but neither attended the ceremony.
The fight occurred after midnight on a quiet block in Hancock Park, where Brown had stopped a rented Lamborghini he was driving. According to police, several people saw or heard a loud, violent confrontation. The luxury car was impounded because the alleged assault may have begun in the vehicle, a police source said.
I'm sure Chris Brown has a good lawyer telling him not to say a word. No apologies, no nothing. His defense goes out the window the first time he makes a peep about this incident.
And, people/media/everyone really shouldn't speculate who the victim is. In California, as I'm sure most if not all US states, it is illegal to divulge the identity of any victim, including those of Domestic Violence.
Also, DAs and cops are smart, DV is a misdemeanor and Assault is a Felony--they charged the Felony... Most likely, he'll walk away with DV & Anger Management classes, probation and a fine--if he's lucky.
Either way, both of these kids' futures are at stake, if not ruined. They can both bounce back; but, obviously they both need counseling.

I'm here in L.A. and here's the latest. Rihanna did call the cops, the argument started in the car then Rihanna got out of the car and started to walk away when Brown confronted her again. After a brief back and forth verbal altercation Brown punched her twice and bit her forearm as she was trying to push hime away. He then ran off when neighbors ran outside after hearing a woman scream. The injuries to Rihanna are substantial. The local Tv station (KCAL) has said the injuries are "horrific". Brown turned himself in to police after contacting Galegos. He posted bail and sources have said the D.A. will charge him. Here in Cali it doesn't matter if Rihanna doesn't want to press charges. They have witnesses as well as other evidence to go forward. It was leaked from a worker at the hospital that Rihanna is a mess with a possible broken cheekbone. Rihanna will need a long time to heal. As far as Chris Brown, his career is over.

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us... police took pictures of Rihanna's injuries and they are "horrific."
As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face -- there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.
And we now know this... Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that's what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

I think Rihanna is just as afraid if this will go the distance in the judicial system, because if it does, in my opinion, WILL be devastating for here "image". The Defense..in my opinion, will have a field day with her credibility and relationship with Chris.
I reserve my judgement until this is cleared in court.
