I believe that's another reason why Grandma still around, she brings that ol' skool motherin. Where Michelle might began to be more lenient, Momma steps in. Becuz w/ all this going on (riding in helicopters, their own security, popularity, & whatnot) it could be very hard to keep these girls grounded.

They are beautiful young ladies. I like the fact that their hair is styled like little black girls. Malia always has braids and thats good i dont want them start acting white and forgeting they black. I love their family.
Their family is a representation of what a black family is and should look like. The mother AND father are together and raising their kids in a respectful way. I love OBAMA! he is the best and he got swagg and he knows what black america is facing eventho he aint struggling persay but he knows how it is to be a black american and to struggle day to day.

I cosign.. they are such lovely little girls, but they need to have their hair together a bit more. I dont care what anyone says, Michelle should know better. Those girls are a reflection of her and Obama and they need to not look like She-Nay-Nay's kids down the block.

The Obama girls are a reflection of their parents in how they behave, not their hair. They are children, people. It's apparent their hair is natural and not straightened so it's not going to be slicked down. It could be windy. Who knows? I think only black people are the only ones that are going to be concerned so much with hair. Other races tend not to be as petty. JMO.

i agree with most of the posts. the girls' hair looks fine to me. i mean, the fact that they are the first children and so down to earth is all that counts. they don't have weaves or any "grown" hairstyles, so let them be children. we've all seen how when the time comes, Lady O has their hair looking right.

I love this family! They keep it real! The 1st lady and the girls look very nice! I like Malia's kicks and Sasha's boots. They have their own styles! I love how they keep it real and can be seen wearing the same coat more than once! No Hollywood antics for them! Just two little girls being brought up the proper way in the public eye. I love them! When I have kids someday I pray that they are as poised, strong, respectful and happy as these girls! Such a Blessing!

these girls are fab. loved their behavior at the inauguration. had fun and behaved and did everyone proud - and not at all intimidated by one of the biggest events of the last 100 yrs.
LOVE the first lady's protection of these sweet girls. Hillary waited till they crucified her poor daughter before she did something. Michelle laid down the law before they set foot in the White House.
More families need to be like this one - don' care what color or background - they're a good example everyone in this country could use.
