: MediaTakeOut.com has some GREAT NEWS. According to our snitches Tyler Perry's new film Madea Goes To Jail raked in $14m yesterday in ticket sales.
And word is that the film is now expected to make between $35 and $40m for the weekend - making it Tyler's biggest debut EVER!!
GO TYLER!! I LOVE this man and think he is a creative genius. He's an example of a strong willed black man who was determined to beat the odds in life. While homeless, he could have been a statistic. He could have went the route with drugs and alcohol abuse while spewing a "woe is me cause I'm a black man" tired, raggedy overplayed speech. He didn't. He preservered in the face of poverty, family issues and homelessness and has managed to use his creativity in a productive manner that contributed to his livelihood.
People can knock this man all they want but Tyler is a SELF_MADE millionaire and there isn't anything I can knock about that. He was on the View yesterday and was soooo articulate in speech, humble, and extremely passionate about his projects and tv series. I got mad respect for this man and plan on seeing this film tonight! I'm sure I'll enjoy it

I like storm, my kinda woman, who stands up for something! Michelle Obama is not an attractive woman to me as well but I find all of her other traits attractive(i'll take her). As far as the prez she might not like him but she didn't say anything about the man that was not true as far as his policies. I voted for the man myself so i'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt but he has a lot of holes in his character. Peace.

First of all i am a 22 year old black man and never had to "fight or shoot" anyone , second of all i like tyler perrys movies because he portrays the other side of black society not portrayed so much in hollywood. The professional conservitive who didnt really forget where they came from. If YOU didnt "SURFACE SWEEP" so much you would see he is making fun of that sterotype not encourging it. i think if you are really a black person you are just out of touch with your own people and alienated from the black society that either you havent seen or just refuse to see... come to baltimore there is alot of young black professionals here maybee you will see what i am talking about

Tyler Perry doesnt even like his own movies he cant be serious....his movies are baseless....plots and points just scattered everywhere and he hasnt evovled as a director just doing the same thing over and over which is obvious he is milking it and worried about the money he getting than is own development as a director..he is taking advantage of his own race and i am not to fond of that

I actually met Tyler Perry at the NYC red carpet premiere. I got to shake hands with him and interview him about the film. He told me that he would like the viewers to receive the message of forgiveness by watching this film. I even took a picture with him.I also interviwed some other notable celebrities who appear in the film such as Judge Greg Mathis, Derek Luke, and tamela and David Mann. I also interviewed Naturi Naughton who starred as Lil Kim in Notorious. I took pictures with all of them. I would advise everyone to check this film out it's funny as well as has a very positive message for the African American community
Funny note Tyler Perry was shocked that he was being interviewed by a teenager but he was very cool and down to earth and didn't look down on me. I may be a teen but I am a pretty good celebrity interviewer.

I just got back an hour or so from seeing this movie. I must say it gets a c- from me. Dont get mad TP fans I did give him a passing grade. I laughed about three times that was it.
The begging should have been different. The movie was very predictable. He should have made the fiancee character more triflin.
I am a big TP fan and I love his plays. The movies not so much. I did like Why did I get married movie though.
I do like the fact Tyler gives a lot of people work. He also tries to send a positive message. To my knowledge I would also love to work with him.

You want people to develop critical thinking skills so they can think and do for themselves. A noble cause then and now. Glad you were wrong about this one MTO. 41 million! Could have been way more but they're STILL not letting him play in the amount of theatres as the white films. More theatres=more potential money but white owners don't want all those blacks coming to their theatres more money or not. That's how I see it anyway lol.
