: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that rapper DMX lashed out against prison guards who are forcing him to be on a bread and water diet while staying at an Arizona jail. According to reports, DMX is facing additional charges after he threw a tray of food at a corrections officer.
Here’s how the AP is reporting it:

Dzbootz. No I never been to jail. I have some family members thats been there but I know that they have to serve a full meal and yes I heard the food is disgusting and sometimes downright unsanitary. My brother fasted when he got locked up. Im jus going by what the story said. He got mad because they wouldn't let him eat a meal and its illegal to not feed prisoners a full meal. DMX's legal troubles continue to mount.
The beleaguered rapper, formally known as Earl Simmons, was re-booked on suspicion of aggravated assault charge after a dispute with a corrections officer on Sunday, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the rapper threw a food tray at a corrections officer on Sunday after the officer told DMX he stole a meal.
The officer wasn't injured.
It's the second run-in DMX has had with a corrections officer since he arrived in Tent City last month.
On Feb. 8, Simmons refused to report for a work assignment and didn't respond to a call for medications later in the day. Simmons later became agitated that he did not receive his medication, and when a supervisor tried to intervene, Simmons launched into a profanity-laced tirade, according to the sheriff's office.
Simmons ended up in Tent City after a judge sentenced the rapper in late January to 18 months of supervised probation and 90 days in jail after pleading guilty to cruelty to animals, theft and two drug counts.
The assault accusation could jeopardize the terms of DMX's probation, the Sheriff's Office stated in a press release.
That ended an 18-month run that found Simmons on police blotters and in the news with increasing regularity.
Simmons first appeared on the local law-enforcement radar in August 2007, when deputies launched an animal cruelty investigation that ended last summer when deputies found 12 malnourished dogs, three dogs buried, drugs and a cache of weapons at Simmons' home near Cave Creek.
Among Simmons' other recent legal struggles:
• The rapper was cited in May for going 114 mph on the Loop 101.
• In late June, Simmons was arrested in Miami on suspicion of attempting to purchase cocaine and marijuana from an undercover officer.
• In July, he was accused of theft of services and identity theft for trying to avoid paying $7,500 in medical bills from Scottsdale's Mayo Clinic in April.
• Also in July, Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies arrested Simmons at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
• In August, Simmons was arrested in Miami for failing to attend a Phoenix court hearing. He was extradited to Phoenix in September and paid a $25,000 bond for his release.
• In December, FBI agents arrested Simmons at the Florida mansion of music producer Scott Storch on a warrant out of Phoenix after the rapper again failed to appear in court.
Far be it from me to make light of a person's crime...but bread and water???? Come on now. Thats inhumane. I think his former celebrity status might have a lot to do with this. It's not uncommon for people in control(guards/correction officers)to want to make an example out of these types.....I'm hopeful that this is his last time in confinement, you'd think after all his previous visits he'd learn his lesson.
