: Remember a few weeks ago when everyone was saying that Chris Brown would be charged with a SERIOUS FELONY and MediaTakeOut.com told you that there was little chance of that. Well, now more and more news sources are starting to figure out that we were right.
Here’s what E! News is reporting:
An initial arraignment date was set for March 5 following his arrest earlier this month for his altercation with Rihanna. But that court appearance "may not happen," Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison tells E! News.Told ya so!!"We don't have the evidence yet. [Los Angeles police detectives] are still investigating," says Robison, who doesn't expect her office to receive the case until at least next week.
"If [detectives] determine they need more time they'll set a new date for him to come into court," says Robison.
Once the LAPD finishes its investigation and presents the D.A. with the evidence, Robison says prosecutors must decide whether to file felony charges, reject the charges if the evidence is insufficient, or refer the case to the city attorney's office if they decide the behavior was simply a misdemeanor violation…
But as they build their case, the source says, prosecutors fear that making any serious felony charges stick could prove difficult in a case where there are no direct witnesses other than Rihanna and Brown.
Yea of course the charges arent going to be that serious...the only reason why they are working so hard is because of the high profile basis of the case, and the people involved...in this was any regular couple, as i have seen in my professional, the guy would spent one night in holding, released, no bail, and due for court in a month of so and plead a lesser charge...having only to do anger management classes or something...but since is CB and Rhianna they gonna go above and beyound, i wonder how many DV victims in that area are being neglected because of this case...

However, if there was a fight in a very small car which could lead to additional injuries, it would be kind of hard to charge only one person just because the other person lost. I think people man and woman should keep their hands to themselves. If you choose to start a fight(which I believe she did), you should be prepared to engage in fighting! Maybe we will never know the complete truth but until then.....

What i am stating is the rest of the article that was conveniently left off...clearly states that the prosecuter "ordered" the LAPD to explore options for a variey of felony charges. Not to grasp at straws. She wants to explore several options. Please read with interpretation.
Common sense dictates that that means..(especially for a black man) if we cannot get him on A..we will get him on B...if B does not or cannot stick..we will get him on C.. So in reading the "entire" article..what i interpret is a DA who is trying to make sure he or she gathers enough evidence that can fit within the variety of categories...in the hope that he can get him on "something". Depending on the evidence they gather..A mignt not fit...so they go with option B..etc..etc..
I don't know if they will be able to nail him, but i am not ashamed to say that "they should". Excuse me for being moral. It appears as though he beat up a female..pretty badly. He should be punished.

I personally don't think he beat the girl. I have a keen sense of discernment and I don't she the young man balling his fist up and plowing her in the face. I think she provoked him like a lot of women do men and she got caught by a reaction to her action. Rihanna is pretty and all but she gotta keep her hands to herself just like every other human being. We got kids killing kids with guns and these two are really occupying a lot of airwaves. I think they should work it out and move past it. After all no-body is perfect... And Kanye even said we needed to cut Chris Brown a break.... So, there is some truth that's fixin to come out after all...
my momma knew chris and his mother when he used to live in the nyc a few years back,a couple years before he was famous.i'm too young to remember him though.i know one of his close friends though and he told me what's going on(not chris' side or rihanna's side, but like with the police and DA...all that stuff)...all i'll say is he didn't beat her and he isn't going to jail....
Whats the big deal!!!??? This lil ni99a is gonna get off scott free. Well, in a way. Legally he's gonna get off but in the public eye, he's DONE!!! CASE CLOSED!!! No radio station has played a single song from him & I find it very hard to believe that any station will play any more of his music, whether its old stuff or anything new he makes.
