: MediaTakeout.com just got wind of a STUNNING report. A 9 year old Brazilian girl, pregnant with twins is scheduled to have an abortion. According to the the news websites G1, pe360graus and the Diario de Pernambuco, the Brazilian girl, who was not identified because she is a minor, was found to be four months pregnant after being taken to hospital suffering stomach pains.
And who’s the father you ask? Well – police suspect that the it’s the 9 year old girl’s step father. Here’s more to the report from News Australia:
"We don't know if she will develop the pregnancy up to the end because of the structure of her body. It is a big risk for her,'' the doctor who confirmed her pregnancy before she was taken to the institute, Jose Severiano Cavalcanti, told the Diario de Pernambuco.And it gets even worse. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that police believe the girl’s 23-year-old stepfather was abusing her since she was aged six - paying her one Brazilian real (about 42 cents) each time he molested her."She doesn't have a pelvis able to support a gestation of twins,'' he said.
Abortion is illegal in Brazil except in cases of rape or if the woman's health is in danger.
Hopefully that monster gets what he deserves...

It is very possible to become pregnant that young. I guess no one on here has ever heard of Lina Medina. She is the youngest known proven/confirmed pregnant child who became pregnant and had rather large breast at age 5. She was from peru and this happened in 1938. Girls can start their menstrual cycle at early as nine years and in some rarer cases six years of age. The latest a girl can start her cycle is up to 17 years of age. I knew a few girls who had their period in the third grade. Her mother is wrong for having a man who can be that girl's brother and for not watching her daughter and that sick pervert.

With people being overweight their children are born overweight and overweight kids go through puberty early. My mom started her period when she was 9 years old (she was not abused in any way). On the other end of the spectrum, I started min when I was 13. So it is true that cycles can start as early as 9 and as late as 16 or 17. It's all based on hormonal changes. Some develop earlier than others.

I work at an agency that investigates child abuse, and unfortunately....most kids are raped by either their own father, their sibling or their mother's boyfriend. It's sad to know that your kids are never fully safe because if you can't even trust your own son not to rape his sister, what do you expect.
