: When Steve Harvey was on Oprah’s show last month all of Hollywood was buzzing with rumors that Oprah was taking Steve under her wing – and was going to get him a talk show. Well MediaTakeOut.com has learned that that AIN’T HAPPENING.
According to the National Enquirer Oprah found out about Steve’s messy past and decided that it’s better to steer clear of him. Here’s the part of Steve’s past that bothers her the most, according to the tabloid:

Dang, do we need the Code [EXPLETIVE] to figure out why he put his hands on his wife (allegedly)? Maybe Nephew Tommy can give us some advice on how to not screw up the biggest chance you had in your life (working with Oprah). Steve Harvey says all the time on his morning show that he has made alot of mistakes and he has learned from them and he's trying extra hard to be good to his new wife so his marriage will last.....you can't hold the past against people! If I ever got famous I would hate to see the ISH that comes out about me....and I aint ever even abused no one!

That's cold. that bitter old ugly ass Mary. Mary is just made because Steve remarried and is doing very well with Marjorie. Steve is very funny, and he doesn't have to try hard to do so. No matter what haters say, he is a man of God, and God continues to bless him every day. Steve doesn't need Oprah to get a show, he can do it on his own. How many people can say that Oprah called their morning show. Back the hell up haters. Mary, get a life, and remember whose money it was in the first place.
Better late than sorry b/c Oprah would have been sorry had she put money behind this loud mouth stupid fool. I hope his ego flatlined on this one. One would think as long as he has been in the business he would learn how to talk. I never was a fan but after his treatment to the Angels when he was on a different station in LA I was really done. Shirley Strawberry, I don't know how she does it and sticks with him. But she is there for the pay check. I have mixed feelings on this. Steve isn't perfect but he gives pretty sound advice via radio to women in relationships. I also don't think it's fair to blast him when Dr. Phil's past is less than stellar. Why does he get a pass? I know , I know ... we have to be better blah blah blah but I'm ready for her to help propel an African American the way she has for Rachel Ray, Dr. Phil and now Jenny McCarthy.
As you all know, Oprah is no fool. It's not so much that she just found out he is a previous domestic violence candidate, but that he wasn't honest and man enough to come clean and admit it on her show when he was talking about Rihanna and Chris Brown. She doesn't only help "white" people, she helps people she feels will make a difference in the world. E.g., long ago she offered Iylana Vanzant a show and she turned it down saying she doesn want to be pigeon-holed... and where is she now???

Harvey's an arrogant ass, and it's good that his bullshit is catching up to him. I work at an airport, and the younger folks who work there are thrilled when the celebrities come through. Stevie, Whoopie, Smokey, Will Farrell, Danny Devito, Robert Townsend, and so many many others are nice, will take pictures and sign autograhs, unless they are in a hurry. Harvey is a snooty, nose-in-the-air [EXPLETIVE]. Those youngsters were so disappointed in him. I stopped listening to his show around that time, about two years ago.
WOW!! I never knew this many people didnt like Steve Harvey!!!! I thought everybody loved Steve! (damn) I like Steve, I like his advice. He gives it to you raw wit no chaser...I dont know nothing about his past marriage so I can't speak on that...but that shouldnt stop someone from moving up in life...people make mistakes and some overcome...its about what you doing NOW with your life instead of holding what happened in the past against someone. Steve is funny and I wish him the best!!!
Wow! I didnt know that Steve Harvey was disliked so much, by reading some comments made by him.i always thought that he was a nice guy.Especially when i heard that he was homeless and lived in his car when he was starting out as a comedian;and had volunteered as a mentor on an episode on Judge Hatchett's show for to help a troubled teen.I never met Steve,but on t.v, he always seemed down to earth and nice.
. and as for his book. yes everything he is saying a woman shuld already know, but evidently yall don't. women don't naturally know everything about how a man thinks and operates unless a man has schooled her and that's what the book is doing. I think people need to stop all the hate and prejudgment of celebrities just becuz their business is in the media especially since half the stuff that comes out is faulse anyway. more than half of the divorces end bad(people fighting,slandering,tryna get the most from the other person). what makes you think his ex-wife isn't lying? his kids by her are up in age and still have a relationship with their dad which probably wouldn't be if he was whoopin her. and even if he did abuse her in the past, he is a changed man(atleast he said so)and people are not born perfect and we make mistakes. I listen to his show everyday and he promotes positivity and he also gives back to the community

To each his own, however, if this is true then he comes off like the biggest hypocrite when it comes to chris and rihanna and so do some of you all. Steve is something else. I just couldn't stomach him anymore after what he did to Bernie Mac or his ex-wife. However, he was at Bernie's funeral and they allowed him to speak so perhaps they mended fences before his death.
Anyone who's been married 3 times, had several women, should know a thing or two about how to finally treat a woman. Steve is slowly redeeming himself but I wouldn't back him for a talk show. What could he say beyond this book? He should stick to radio.
Plus, who sold that lie to the NE? Why would Oprah produce a show for Steve just because of a book? Silly.
This is an allegation from Mary...where is THE PROOF that he beat her? Don't be so damn gullible and believe everything that you read. He may have and he may not have.
