After reading all these comments i didn't see one that says she is not black , i did see black doesnot crack. On the Obama blog people sys he is not black he is biracial well she is also cause her daddy is white just like mine. I am black with a white father i will never consider myself anything but African since that is where all mankind came from.

She is a African-American of mixed race descent. She is multigenerational mix ancestry like Lena Horne. Just because both parents are black identified, that does not stop their mixture. Her family is very light, just like Lena Horne. Her and Lena Horne family have been marrying other mixed raced identified Black Americans for generations and genrations. They come from the mulatto elite families. Most our great black leaders had white father's and a mixed or black mother. Even the great mulatto leaders married other mulatto women to keep the mix in the family. They did not marry dark.
Also, a lot of the light skinned slaves married other light skinned slaves to keep the color in the family too. Light skin and dark skin have a history in black culture. It was a shame for a light skinned black to marry a darker skinned black in a lot of families. I was reading a book, a light skinned girl married a dark skinned man, and the light skinned grandfather of the girl tried to kill the dark skinned husband and they sent the child of the union to England to live! The grandfather did not want the brownskinned grandchild in the family. Vanessa William is Black, but she is mixed.
