: MediaTakeOut.com just received some disturbing news. Apparently a bar in Connecticut called the Side Street Grille thought it was okay to post up a racially-tinged cutout of President Obama behind the bar.
The cardboard cut out, as shown above, showed the President wearing a pimp hat, jelwels (including gold teeth) and with an afro pick in his hair.
Luckily MediaTakeOut.com’s buddies over at local news channel 8 put the bar on Blast. Here’s what they’re reporting:
The bar's owner Bob Severino said the intent was never to offend; he said that the bar is full of posters and items poking fun at people in the spotlight.He also does not believe there was any racist intent.
"It's political satire and it's been done since Lincoln was President," said Severino. "And if you're in the spotlight, you can be made fun of, at least in this country. I know in Russia and North Korea you can't, but in this country you can. It's political satire.
