When we observe ordinary women behaving like this we assume that it is due to a so-called man-shortage or self-esteem issues, but then when we see the supposed “top-shelf” black women putting up with this it is so disheartening because we think that they should have more confidence in themselves not to fall for the games guys play.
I never understand why any woman will put so much trust and focus into a man that treats her like she is an interchangeable part. At least be smart enough to make him wrap it up first. Just because you look good and give him some cut and/or have his child will not going make the man suddenly have an epiphany and decide that you are the best thing that’s ever happened to him. There’s no fairytale here. Again.. i do not know Lauren on a personal level, but you make a valid point. No one is saying that she had an agenda. But if she did, i'm saying that it does that make her a bad person. Many good women want commitment and family, but are increasingly faced with men who simply do not see the benefit and shun these women.
With the ratio being in their(the man's) favor, they are choosing to simply play the field, and/or keep their options open.
With that in mind, women are and should protect their open hearts by not automatically expecting commitment. Besides, men like Lil Wayne boast in their music about "baby mamas" and their ability to pay and pimp. Many women here this and see being with him as not deception, but something a man of his mean enjoys or expects to have to do. His wealth allows for it. It is what it is.

How do we know if these statistics are not coming from women who have made poor decisions?! Not all single mothers are struggling and not all women have babies either. You cannot view every single mother and assume she's a single mother because her man wasn't no good. You also have women with unaddressed issues or have made poor choices in men. No woman deserve to have a man leave her but If this does happen, we shouldn’t automatic assume it’s the mans fault.
