You can't even begin to compare President Obama to Tiger Woods. Obama recognizes his black side as well as his white side. He even recognizes his black heritage in his speech in Ghana last week.
Tiger Woods is trying to run as far away from his black heritage as he can. I am also mixed Black, Asian, w/ some Indian and White. But I love my people. I feel a connection even though we do some messed up stuff. When my African American brothers and sisters struggle, I struggle with them. I feel the same way about the my Chinese heritage. I have two rich cultures in my background.
So whatever Tiger says, being mixed is not "confusing". You have to know yourself and be connected with yourself to love where you come from. I grew up with both Asian and African American culture. So it is really cool to be able to see and experience both. I was born overseas and spoke the language. It didn't hurt being a military brat either b/c I go to experience many different cultures. But my father made sure I knew who I was. He didn't hide Black history from me, in fact he taught me well. Then my mother taught me Chinese history.
