: The news just keeps getting worse for R&B singer Chris Brown. According to one of MediaTakeOut.com's sources, MTV execs have asked that R&B superstar NOT attend their upcoming Video Music Awards in New York.
The show, which tapes in two weeks, will have all the biggest names in music – including Rihanna.
A tipster thells MediaTakeOut.com that higher ups at the show told Chris that he should not attend the show, or any of the after parties. According to our snitch “they’d rather that he wasn’t even in NYC.”

Oprah Winfrey is urging Chris Brown to get the "counseling he needs" after the disgraced singer criticized the media titan for lending her support to Rihanna after a February bust-up with his ex-girlfriend.
The fallen R&B star was sentenced to five years' probation after pleading guilty to beating up his then-lover in February. Inspired by reports about the altercation, Winfrey dedicated an episode of her top-rated show to the serious issue of domestic abuse, and she went so far as to suggest Rihanna should consider a break from Brown amid claims the pair was back together.
Brown admits he felt betrayed by Winfrey and felt she could have been more supportive.
In an interview with People magazine, Brown said, "I commend Oprah on being like, 'This (abuse) is a problem', but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, 'OK, I'm going to help both of these people out.'"
His comments have angered Winfrey and she has fired back.
Her representative tells TMZ.com, "Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs."

Chris Brown is a great talent! He deserves a second chance, which he has been given. A "regular" man would have served time. People can say what they want about Rhianna, but she WAS the victim. People are blaming her and criticizing her but we don't know who initiated the event, but Chris as a man and as a witness to seeing his mom abused should have known better!
