I sat & watched the interview last night and she really worked my nerves!! She had waay to many pauses and she wasn't keeping it all the way real. I can tell there were times she wanted to say more and didn't and there were also times I could tell she wasn't telling the truth bcuz her words were stumbling & she was back-tracking. If it wasn’t for TMZ buying that picture and then leaking it, this case could have went to trial. It didn't go to trial obviously bcuz the jury would have been EXTREMLY biased and would have made their decision based on that picture alone. I would have loved to see the DA tear Rihanna to shreds on the stand. They would have gotten the REAL story. Diane Sawyer did not ask specific questions & she made it very easy for Rihanna to “tip-toe” her way around answering the questions in the truest form.

Rihanna also had little to NO EMOTION which is extremely suspect. And when Diane asked her how did she feel about the picture, all she kept saying was it was “embarrassing” for her. Embarrassment is a word that I hardly ever hear used by a woman who is physically abused. You should feel embarrassed about a picture of you falling down on stage during a performance, not a picture of you after you were beaten by a man. Then when Diane Sawyer asked her about how she felt about Chris after the incident, she said he was “annoying” & couldn’t stand to look at his face. It’s like, I have never seen a battered woman describe her feelings in such a nonchalant manner.

I’m sure that people would love for this tragedy to be over. Some people say they don’t even understand why Rhi came back to offer her side (money perhaps?), but the point is this – she did not dish him, she was calm and cool and collective, yet you could tell it was devastating to her. Perhaps talking about it ‘now’ is part of healing for her and I know that regardless of him hurting her – when you fall in love and love hard, it is very, very difficult to move away from the abuse – even when you know you have to – that connection to that person does not go away just because they hit you. I was in an abusive relationship for 7 years and never got touched – but my emotional and mental health was jacked for years after that. I could not even break out in order to ‘see’ new love when it was staring me in the face. It is hard. My only thing is this – we have to give these young people a chance to get their lives back on tract. I hope that Chris continues to keep his mouth closed, do what the courts have told him to do and go on with his life. They both made mistakes.
