So, I definitely wasn't saying everyone wanted to wear a wig/weave. Just Solange who was being trendy and then after being met with derision, decided to make it social commentary. She was wearing the same wig she's always worn after cutting her hair...It wasn't until it went viral and she was treated cruelly that she decided most black women are slaves to their hair and she's freeing herself. Locks always look messed up at first one they loc they are beautiful ask me mine are down to my butt. we stop calling them dreads because that is what the British name them way back when because they dreaded the brother and sisters who had locks . Straight hair, permed hair, curly hair, natural hair..blah blah blah. I rock my hairstyle according to my mood, not according to my history..its my choice. Solange looks a mess!! I get fabolous weave jobs and don't spend 350000 a year. They just act like they have to spend 600 dollars on weave. When I'm famous, 13 dollar hair and Monique at "home of the 50 dollar sew-in will still work for me. Solange did that for attention and I bet she hates it, cuz it won't grow back.
