I followed this case a few years back and thought his ass was finished. 18 months for him is like 'lucky ass hell.' He thought he was a bad ass anyway.

I kinda feel bad for him in a way. I mean from what I read his intent was not to murder the guy, he was trying to profile and be bad ass and ended up killing the limo driver. It was an accidental shooting. Jayson was showing off his rifle and boasting and pointed the gun at the limo driver who was a friend of his and a long time employee and it went off. The problem is he got scared and tried to cover it up an lie about it.

Its not murder one because it wasn't premeditated murder and he had no intent to kill. Thats how the law works.
