Wanna know whats really sad and why our community is in the state that its in? Because we will believe anything we read in print. Where in his photo does it show this young lady lost weight? NOWHERE!!! But just because MTO said she did you coons fall right in line with them and fall into their trap of degrading her because she's dark and overweight. I bet if I go over to Ne cole Bytchie's site she would be be praising this photo as she did with Gabby's Vanity Fair photos. This site is chock full with self hatred.
I've seen her interviews and she is a really sweet intelligent girl, and a wonderful actress. BUT . . . honestly appearance-wise, she needs work. I just don't see pretty or fabulous when I look at her. I'm not saying she's ugly but she really should loose some weight just to be healthier and look better in her clothes, get a better stylist, and take out that weave; it doesn't compliment her at all. Being big has nothing to do with it, its looking sloppy that hurts you. Queen latifa has always been big, but she has a beautiful face and looks good in her clothes. Unfortunately, hollywood is more about physical appearance than great acting skills. This girl can act her ass off and she could have a prominising future. But it would be sad to see her typecast and only give certain roles because of the way she looks.

Anyone who found the movie Precious degrading, belittling or offensive because it depicts Blacks in a negative light is CLEARLY dillusional or embarrassed because their way of life is exposed. We all know someone like Precious, most of us still live in neighborhoods that she lived in and a lot of young ladies deal with issues of incest, unwanted pregnancies and hopelessness. What you fail to recognize is how she was NOT a young lady with low self esteem...instead she dealt with her adversities the best way she knew how and did not play the victim. In all its ugliness it was a beautiful story.
Many of you young "ladies" should take notes from Gabourey Sibide....when she is interviewed she is not loud, ghetto or embarrassing....unlike Frankie & Neffe and other Black women overweight or otherwise. This young lady is college educated and believes in herself. Thats a whole lot more than what can be said for many of you BIRDS that post here with your often misspelled, run on sentenced, highgly critical, negative posts. Believe it or not it screams to your self hatred and esteem issues. Judging others only shows your inner beauty doesn't exist no matter how cute or skiinny you are.

Fat, Skinny, ugly, pretty doesn't matter. There has been someone in Hollywood to fit any of these description. My thing is Why don't they get her a stylist. Nell Carter was a big women and not all that cute, but she was styled well for her size and pretty much always looked good. It doesn't matter how big or small you are.
