@angelheiress...i understand your point that it is an issue that is more divisive and prominent amongst black folk. i assure you that when there are no other race of color around whites do fractionalize themselves based on physical appearance. check your history. see how the italian americans were discriminated against by the english americans cuz of their darker skin tone..plus i got other examples.
Don't forget to mention, Tuff-Tony, how the light vs. dark thing goes on in different cultures as well...like Asians show preference for those with lighter skin tones too. I was surprised to meet sooo many dark skinned East Indians, Cubans, Thai etc because just like here the lighter people are usually featured in their media. To act like this is not an issue around the world is not going to make it better either.
