Check out the below newscast, from a RUSSIAN TV network. They do an in depth "analysis" of how Black women are UNABLE to find any good Black men. According to the women in the video, it's because all the Black men are either broke, gay or in jail. Gee . . . we wonder why Russia, which has a Black population of less than .1 percent, is interested in the subject:
We have to think that this is part of a CONCERTED EFFORT amongst the mainstream media to destroy Black families. Unfortunately, many of the pseudo-Black intellectuals like Bill Cosby and Steve Harvey are not only BUYING INTO this myth, but they are helping to PERPETUATE IT.
Here are the facts. Historically, as women get older, it becomes MORE and MORE difficult to find a husband, and this is true for ALL RACES. Of course it’s easy to focus on the fact that there are SOME Black women who aren't getting married.
But isn't it interesting that there hasn't been EVEN ONE REPORT on the new trend on the INCREASE in Black marriages??? Every legitimate data collection agency has noted a steady and substantial INCREASE in the number of Black marriages over the last 20 years. Why do you think you haven’t heard about that????
I hate it when the media puts us, black women and black men, on blast! But especially black women. White women love it that we are noticing that they are taking our men or that when black men get some prestige, they come to them. They love it when we complain that we cannot find any good black men because they are going to them or other races. We, black women, need to stop entertaining white folks and start working on ourselves. If a black man does not want us, then guess what, there are other races of men out there. We are not obligated to just black.
I want to add to my post that stereotypes of us black women is making it so hard for us to meet anyone. We are not all loud and "ghetto", whatever that hell that means. I am single, never married, no kids, my own house, my own car, educated but if I happen to meet a custodian with 6 kids and he is a decent man, we will be together. We have to help each other, not use each other. I would love to meet someone who has a great job and no kids but the reality of it all, where I live, it ain't gonna happen. I am not going to date white and say look at me I have a white man and life is better.
PERSONALLY, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE AS BLACK WOMEN EVEN GET UPSET ABOUT THE FACT THAT BLACK MEN DATE OUTSIDE THEIR RACE (SUCCESSFUL OR NOT).. I'm was very serious about my post concerning education with black men and black women.
In 2001 I was in the 6th grade, was 11 yrs old. I made honor roll. Several black females in my class came up to be and asked me about my grade point average. I told them I got 92 percent, which is over a 3.0. Did you know what they called me? a F_ggit and a cornball. I asked them if them if they had to choose between a thug and an intelligent boyfriend which would they choose. They responded " I need a thug because they have more swag" WTF?!?!
Although that is reality for a lot of black women I'm not going to agree with all the bashing. I think to interview only two women about their experience with bm out of thousands of bw was biased. There should have been a focus group with both bw and bm to start a dialogue and get an equal perspective. When I dated females that didn't attend my school It was still difficult. You have to understand a lot of young females are obsessed with "thugs" or the bad boys. I understand this woman.Not all black men are bad but most do have serious issues. Black men come to black women with so many problems (4 or more kids, criminal record,laziness, and rudeness) just to mention a few things. Luckily I'm young, educated, and very attractive so I have many men to choose from, so whatever man I marry will be a wonderful husband.
