: MediaTakeOut.com learned that actress Rachel True is speaking OUT against the CW network. The rant all started when she began criticizing the CW's new show High Society - where the reality stars openly call Black people the N Word.
She then claimed that the CW owed the "black shows" some "reparations." She further claimed that those shows (such as Girlfriends, Everyone Hates Chris, and The Game) "built" the CW network.
Not sure about reparations, but the CW really needs to put on more Black shows . . . have you seen the TERRIBLE RATINGS their current shows are getting . . .
She may have to deal with that one another way. Reparations? All they really owe you is whatever is in the contract that you worked for. But the only way you can get anything extra is through a lawsuit. And on what grounds? You can also protest the network or the TV show. And we use the word so much as black people, it's even used as a "term of endearment". That's why the show is still on the air......no one has complained about it!
Well UPN did get most of heir rating from the black shows, there was an entire line up that put them on the map. WB was always known to be on the racist side, remember that shuckin and jivin frog! When they combined, they didn't really promote the black shows and they intergraded and the characters got lighter and lighter. Look at girlfriends! Reparations, that's a bit extreme.
This silly broad is just broke. Personally I hate those silly azz sitcoms and reality tv as well. Even if the CW did have more "black shows", ninjaz would still get shidded on. She's right about one thing: the CW began with an initial strong black sitcom presence. I thought it would be the network that gave black shows a mainstream platform. But then, they began to cancel all the black shows. I guess they wanted to go in another direction, literally. I see why she's upset. They got rid of good black sitcoms with substance and replaced them with garbage.
That show had the best looking women on it, her,her sister,her mother,and Aunt Rachel from Family Matters. But F&$* the CW. That whole network can go lick rocks. Rachel is not dumb. She knows there's no way CW is not going to give her any reparations, Just as Rev. Al knew he wouldn't become President. Publicly the point got heard. High Society premiered Wednesday night after ANTM; In the 1st 5 minutes of the show some straw head exclaimed that she uses the 'N' word & she doesn't think anythings wrong with it!!! I turned it off Immediately. However it is true that the CW got their footing off of black folks hands down. The honest part is they still use all those re runs at un-GODly hours throughout the night. CW can't hardly pay black folks reparations back. Ms. True had a point. Tyra ought to be shamed; Cause her black a.ss is the only reason the CW is still raking in ratings.

Research is key.. Cw is a network owned cbs, paramount and warner brothers. UPN and The WB, ceased independent operations. Although upn had success with moesha, the parkers and girlfriends they also became popular with star treck, Veronica mars and smack down.
