Quacy Francis, the Shreveport man accused of knowingly exposing people to HIV for several years, was arrested this morning.

Shreveport police said patrol officers spotted Francis and took him into custody. Details of the arrest were not immediately released.

Francis, 36, faces charges of knowingly exposing people to the virus that can cause AIDS. Potential victims could date back as far as 1996, police said.

Detectives are asking that anyone who has been a sexual partner of Francis, or knows someone who has, to contact them at 673-6955. Detectives said they will respect people's confidentiality.
