NFL player Clinton Hart played high school football in Bushnell and currently plays for the St. Louis Rams. He's been in the league nine years.
It is unknown how the arrest will affect his status in the NFL, but the league is getting tough on its personal conduct policy.
The policy reads, "As an employee of the NFL or a member club, you are held to a higher standard and expected to conduct yourself in a way that is responsible, promotes the values upon which the league is based, and is lawful. Persons who fail to live up to this standard of conduct are guilty of conduct detrimental and subject to discipline, even where the conduct itself does not result in conviction of a crime."
Clinton Hart is at the Marion County Jail awaiting bond. He faces two counts of simple domestic battery.

According to police, Clinton G. Hart, 32, got into an altercation with his wife, Kelli Nicole Hart, 31, over a message posted to his Facebook account.
Clinton Hart, a free-agent safety who attended Central Florida Community College, has played several years in the NFL, including last season with the St. Louis Rams, according to a report by FLORIDA TODAY news partner WKMG Local 6 News.
According to an arrest affidavit, Clinton Hart called police about 2:30 p.m. and officers went to Kelli Hart's business. Clinton Hart told officers he used a computer inside the business to check his Facebook account before leaving and returning to get his cell phone, the affidavit said.
Kelli Hart would not allow him back inside, however, using her arms to block him, the arrest affidavit stated.
He then grabbed his wife and a struggle ensued, which resulted in Kelli Hart's pants pocket being torn, the affidavit said. She also suffered what appeared to be a small cut on her mouth, the affidavit said. Kelli Hart told police that her husband did not hit her and she was not sure how her mouth was injured.
During an interview with police, Clinton Hart said the argument began because an unknown female messaged him on Facebook and said she knew him, the affidavit said. His wife discovered the comment and then refused to allow him to return, the affidavit said.
Clinton Hart said they began pushing each other, and added that at one point, his wife had a brick and threatened to throw it at his car, the affidavit said. Police said they did not find the brick, and Clinton Hart's car was not damaged.
Clinton Hart was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail.
According to the affidavit, Kelli Hart expressed numerous times that she did not want her husband to be arrested.
According to every report, Clinton is the one who called the police. STFUDummy sounds like she is mad at the wife herself! She gave an awful lot of details , maybe she is the "unknown" female who sent the FB message?His wife seems to be backing her husband 100% in all of this and no talk of divorce has been mentioned which would seem relevant to this case AND would have already been dug up by reports through public record. I think it's a shame that their family has to be disrupted by haters and nay-sayers. The only people who know the truth are the 2 of them and God. May they be blessed.
