I lived in NYC and can tell you from experience this is not a surprise. You would be amazed how many people with mental illness ride the trains because they have no where to go. Once they receive treatment for 30 to 90 days they are put back out into the world, usually with no family to help them. So they ride the trains, beg for money or hurt others. People like that we need to pray for and not make fun of. But for the grace of God that is not you or I.
