Those lacefronts have been used in movies since the 1910s to now. They were developed for white actresses to get that Hollywood hair. I saw a close up of Marilyn Monroe and she was wearing a lacefront. It was just her normal bob hairstyle. I remember being a little girl seeing a director say that Michelle Pfeffier wasn't going to wear a weave in a movie because she wanted to look less glamourous.
