Some of you ignorant heffas need to shut up. Women who go natural are not always black fist pick wearing, Afrocentric people. Some of us go natural because we're sick of damaging our hair to achieve something that ain't God given. I love the versatility of my hair now, but you know what? I still wear weaves and wigs, because I love different styles and colors, and I can't achieve ALL of them on my hair whether that be because of length or color. Grow up black women!

wow. I've read just about every comment up here and I have to say that most of you commenting are full of hate. Be it hate for light skinned black people or dark skinned, hate for the way your hair grows out your head, or just general hate.
What has happened to you? You sound like slaves trying jook and jive for white people to like the way you look. If it grows out of your scalp that way, then there's nothing wrong with it. It looks fake and ugly when you have Indian hair or other types of weave to look european. You're perpetuating white views from way back since slavery times. Stop hating
solange November 23, 2011: I think her hair is beautiful and natural hair does grow fast. I did the big chop 2years ago and my hair has actually been cut numerous of times since I went natural but it is still almost to my shoulders. She is beautiful with her natural and it fits her. I think people expect her to be like her sister instead of allowing her to be herself. I wear a fro sometimes and I have gotten alot of compliments on it. I am not being negative towards black women that wear perms or weaves because it is what ever make you happy and I use to wear it too but please stop being negative towards the natural black women who embrace their naturalality. I am a light skinned sister and I actually pick my hair out so it has a kinkier texture to it and I love it. Black women need to teach their daughters to love themeselves no matter what skin complexion and what texture of hair and you cant do that if you put down each other. I got 99 problems but getting a perm isnt one, so dont hate on her because in the 70's your mother and grandmother and auntees thought those naturals were beautiful and black people really embraced themselves and their culture. I work for the government and no one tells me I am not professional or beautiful because of my natural hair.
