Just because a movie or artist sold the most albums or is most popular doesn't make it a pre-requisite for winning that coveted award. Yes Beiber is talented, but do you know how many teenage white boys with an average voice, dance skills and plays instruments that Usher could have found. Do you know how hard it is to get in the industry and how easy it is to find someone and make them into an overnight success. You don't find them, they find you. Overall as artist of the year, I Esperanza Spalding is pure, raw talent. Good music isn't just determined by what's played on your local top 40 station. Again, it operates like the Oscars.
