@Realtalk215, You are right, anyone can go to college, thats why I said go to college and finish. However, it was very ignorant of you to try to belittle those ladies for attending college, especially child free. A lot of women with children, specifically minority women, either a)dont attend college, b) attend college but never make it to the end, or c)attend but they face great obstacles in doing so. You dont know if those ladies are close to finishing, or have already finished, and now in Grad school. And my family praises me as well for going to college, and I understand why, its getting harder and harder to get a decent job and maintain (especially if you're a minority and not amungst the rich), and everyday that someone is in college, not dropping out, getting closer to graduation (if they haven't graduated already) is an accomplishment. At least thats the way I see it.
@Realtalk215, You are correct, there should be, and I always stress to Black people not to settle, and strive for much more, espcially when it comes to education and money. Instead of relying on the nfl, I tell kids to go to college and study something you like, like sports medicine, that way you have a plan B. I tell some of the brothas I hang out with, how about studying music, or trying to work behind the scenes, instead of trying to be a rapper 'cus chances are, u ain't gonna make it 'bruh.' And of course, I tell my people to save their money for more important things like rent, or buying a house, instead of the new j's or your nails/hair. But aye, Some listen, and some do not-sometimes it's like that. But I noticed the blogger, Fabulousweetie said csusb, thats California State University @ San Bernardino, that school is one of the best California schools for Education (like many other Cal States), so I guess she is setting a higher standard for herself.
