SMDH!!! I saw this yesterday...There is also a video on WSHH of students fighting at FAMU. I didn't go to an HBCU,but for those that think its better,you'll probably deal with more issues being black at a mostly white school than vice versa. Racism is still alive and well and there are many racist and ignorant white students as well as black self-haters at mostly white schools...

I don't understand why people are quick to talk bad about HBCUs. I attend a mixed school, but I have sorors and friends who attend HBCUs. This could have happened at ANY SCHOOL. Many non-HBCUs have been on the news for shootings,fights, etc. I can't believe people have the nerve to make idiotic comments such as "Oh I'm not surprised this occurred at an HBCU" or "Had to be an HBCU".

That cafeteria must have chaos spirts in it. I attended that school for a semester and I could count on one hand the amount of times I ate in there. Food fights would break out just about everytime. After awhile you'd have to say no thank you, I'll do just fine with my oodles n noodles.
Btw,there nothing wrong with HBCU's. As with any school just be sure to choose the right one.
First off ... This could have happened at ANY college in America. I'm sure if you Google or YouTube one of these Mixed or even predominantly white schools have same issues, maybe on a different level...but it happens. However, I would love to know what was so serious that they had to mess up the cafe. They all should be expelled. It's college not high school. You are paying for this, its not free provided by the government. Have some business about how you conduct yourself.
At UCSD (1 or 2 black people maybe less), the kids were fighting the professors, police, and administrators over tuituion fee increases. Fighting. Not talking. Saw 10 seconds on the news and that was it. Won't show white boys acting like animals. Oh, no, can't show that. But showing black kids at their worst is an American past time like football. True. Same school. Very few blacks. Beautiful landscape, though. But there was a total news blackout when those white boys were getting it in with the cops over tuition fees. They stormed the administration building and the cops went in but they were outnumbered by the students. The old cops were filming while the young cops were throwing round-houses. No batons. No tasers. No handcuffs. Cops were just glad to have some a$$ to kick for a change. But the students got the better of them from what little I saw.
