I can't believe you guys are on here talking about Akon and his sister's skin tone as though you guys are not black your dang self. We are black and black comes in all shades. My skin is a lighter tone but my sister has a darker skin tone. Both beautiful. Plenty other black people have the same mom and dad and some come out white looking and some come out dark. That's what black is...comes in all shades. Grow up people. Please.

I dont like that skin color but I would never put anyone down or make fun of them for it cause its something they cant help. It has nothing to do with self hatred all the time. Are whites self hating when they hate very white skin and red hair/freckles? I mean afterall thats as white as someone can come yet its considered ugly. IMO very pale and very dark skin looks extreme to the eye. I love Kelly Rowlands skin color and Gabrielle Unions skin color. Dark brown looks fine but this is jet black. I couldve sworn ive seen one of his wives (or ex wife dunno) and she was dark but African men do crave white more than anyone else. American black men and west indian men are stereotyped for that but in my experiences african men are the worst. They have less access to lighter women but once they get it, they go crazy. Im a Sanaa looking girl and I prefer a Michael Ealy or a dark haired white man like Orlando Bloom. The biracial girls can take ALL the very dark men for all I care. Good for them.

I dont think the lighter the better either. I also dont find the wife attractive. Shes okay looking.
