Authorities say former NFL defensive back Glenn Sharpe has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a man in the Atlanta suburbs.We have to say, dude is INNOCENT until proven guilty. But the streets say that the incident was "gang related"DeKalb County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Adrion Bell says the 27-year-old was charged Thursday in the Feb. 2 death of Christopher Galloway in Stone Mountain, Ga.
It was not immediately clear whether Sharpe has an attorney.
Sharpe began his career with the Atlanta Falcons in 2008 as an undrafted free agent out of Miami. In the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, he received a late penalty in overtime, giving Ohio State a second chance to upset the Hurricanes' bid for back-to-back national championships.

It was February 22nd 2012...and here is the real story! It was NOT gang related or Drugs related, it appears to be over a girl. According to reports, Sharpe knocked on her apartment door wearing a âblack hat, black jacket, tan *** and black shoes.â Wilson opened the door and Sharpe âstruck her in the face and pushed her.â Wilson let Galloway know Sharpe was at the door and Galloway came from the back of the apartment and began to âfight,â according to reports. Sharpe and Wilson exchanged words when Sharpe âtook out a black handgun from his side and began *** into the apartment.â Witnesses at the apartment complex said they saw Sharpe run down the stairs and get into his Florida-tagged black Mercury. âWe do not know the relationship between the two men and the woman,â said Adrion Bell, spokesman for the Dekalb County Sheriffâs Office. âWe arrived at his residence, and he came along peacefully.â Reports said the incident was not drug related. In 2010, Sharpe was charged with drug possession in Georgia.
