For those who aren't familiar with Tonex, listen to "Introducing Tonex". That cd was initially an indie release but was so popular it caused a signing frenzy among the record companies. He has produced numerous gospel acts as well.
Tonex is divorced. Don't know if he's gay. Never had relations with a dude, not with Tonex, and have no plans to.
Tonex always prided himself however on being shocking and showing the listening public they should not judge a book by it's cover.

First I would like to address that the song "Make me Over" does not talk about homosexuality in anyway. It is a general song for one who had a relationship with God and may have sinned and does not like the present state that they are in. The song is asking for God to restore the relationship and make over the individual by purification and renewing their mind. Sin is anything not is not obedient to the will of God. So lying is a sin. Wow. I normally don't comment on these topics but I had to say that Holdmydrinkbitch made 1 of the few arguments that I have felt/stated since I was a teenager and learned a lot more about the Bible.
The Bible was written by man. My biggest issue is the fact that it has several versions which at various points in time have exclude/included stories/gospels/verses. I've struggled with fellowship because I've NEVER believed that I needed a middle man to put me in touch with my spirituality and I place no greater importance on the word of a man standing in a pulpit who is a sinner himself.
Ultimately I do not believe it is in fact normal to have sex with someone of the same sex nor do I believe that anywhere along the DNA chain is there a gene for homo/heterosexuality.

I was raised Methodist, and have both Catholic and Baptist family members. I was lucky enough to have parents who let me decide for myself as a teenager what route I wanted to take. As I did a little more digging I had serious issues with what I was reading. Liek I said too many left out passages, revisions, comparing me to chattel, etc. But I also believed in treating others respectfully, being appreciative of the body that I walk around in and the air that I breathe. I also believe in a higher power and that I will ultimately be judged by what I contributed to my existence.

This wasn't a transformation from "back in the day". Tonex originated with the crazy hair and lyrics. He "transformed" into the suit and tie, low haircut look years later when he became a pastor. That look is not new. I don't know if he's gay or not and I don't care. He's a musical genius not far behind the likes of Prince. Nowhere in the bible does it say you have to be perfect to serve God. @iketernr. I respect your response. As I stated I was compelled to respond because the "issue" at hand for me, hence my nod to Holdmydrinkbitch, was a comment that I agreed with and directed my comment specifically at the blogger.
I don't care whether or not this person is Gay or straight, I'm not sleeping with him. I'm going to borrow a line from an ex regarding the 3 F's:
