****EXCLUSIVE****

July 3.
Kimberly "Lil Kim" Jones was released from prison today after serving more than nine months at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia, PA.

MediaTakeOut.com spoke exclusively with a female inmate from the Federal Detention Center who claims to have helped Lil Kim make it through the difficult time. The six-foot tall and two-hundred-plus-pound woman claims that while she and Lil Kim were in prison together, the two became "close friends".

The two reportedly met when Kim arrived at the facility. "When I first saw Kim I almost didn't recognize her," the woman explained, "she wasn't all glamorous like in the videos."

But the ladies hit it off once Kim asked the woman, who is Hispanic, to be her Spanish tutor. According to the woman, the pair spent countless days going over lessons in her cell. "Kim loved it when I spoke Spanish to her," tells the woman.

But she refused to say whether the two had a sexual relationship. While the former inmate admits being a lesbian, she told us that her relationship with Kim "was about love and respect more than anything else." She went on in detail about their closeness, at one point telling us, "Kim loved taking care of me so much that she would even do my laundry and clean up my cell."

The woman, who was released from prison a few months ago, tells MediaTakeOut.com that she can't wait to be reunited with Kim.

Last year Lil Kim was convicted of three counts of perjury and one count of conspiracy. She was sentenced to a year and a day in prison, but was released early for good behavior.

Representatives for Lil Kim were unavailable for comment.
