Blacks should go back to voting for white candidates since black candidates ignore black issues and are sometimes involved in scandals.
Former Mayor Shelia Dixon (Baltimore)-had to resign/arrested
Former Mayor Kwame Fitzpatrick (Detroit)-had to resign/arrested-jailed
Current Mayor Adrian Fenty (Washington,DC)-ignores black concerns/arrogant
President Obama-ignores black concerns/got over 90% of the black vote....a one term President
Former Mayor Shirley Franklin (Atlanta)-ignored black corcerns/the gentrification Mayor
Time to go back to white.
@ Sean if it were so easy to change legislation then why have you not run for public office. I englan in high school we voted that we should not have to stand when the head mistress came in the hall. It became a rule. only to be vetoed when visiting professors were there. and that was in high school. Imagine politics especially America where money rules, and logic is tossed to the side. I think it is fine that he won, may the best man win. But to cast Obama aside so soon is well silly.

@ Sean
I love your post!! Sad, but very true! You forgot to add Ray Nagin to the list, who was once a Republican, but became a Democrat to run in New Orleans (knew he couldn't win as a Republican). The only think he did (that I remembered) was anger whites by calling his city "chocolate city" and by doing nothing to help New Orleans community.
No politician is working for everyone. That's politically naive. All you can hope for as a voter is that the person you are voting for has policies in line with your philosophy of law, justice and economics. Barack Obama's philosophies are not shared with everyone. Let's hope this mayor can solve some problems that the previous one could not and is not working to keep the city divided.
Hispanics voted for Obama. They want him to address their main issue (Amnesty for Illegal Aliens), but knows he doesn't have the votes for that. Hispanics don't care about that. They want him to try to push it anyway.
The gays voted for Obama. He is addressing one of their issues right now (Don't ask, dont tell). They told him if he doesn't address it, they are gonna stay home in 2010 and 2012. Obama jumped on that issue.
He tells blacks he can't address almost 20 percent unemployment in the black community because he is the President for the entire country.
Aint that some sh(t.
