So are you calling John Lewis and Clyburn liars? They admitted themselves that it happened. Plus, several cops arrested the person that spit on them because they saw them. Finally, this morning a Republican admitted it happen, but that the protesters were in the right to do it.
Get real and stop being a sheep.
@KIMPEACH...I WAS ABOUT 2 BLOG D SAME THING...ITS NOT ABOUT BELIEVING EVERYTHING U C AND READ ON TV, ITS ABOUT D FACT DAT ITS TRU. AND, O, HOW I WISH IT WASNT CAUSE ITS F-ING DEPRESSING 2 C SO MUCH HATE...ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HAS A DIRECT IMPACT ON EVERYONE ELSES LIVES. DERE IS A FREE CLINIC HERE, I DONT HAV HEALTHCARE SO YES, I WAS DERE...2 WHITE MEN WERE TALKN ABOUT HOW DEY DIDNT WANT DIS "HEALTHCARE THING" 2 PASS ":SOMEBODY GON HAV 2 PAY 4 IT"...I JUS SHOKE MY HEAD THINKN, DONT YALL KNOW WHERE YALL R? I MEAN, U R SITTING N A FREE CLINIC, DUH...SAD IT ALL ABOUT RACE.
Listen here you morons ! SO THE F$%K WHAT IF A FEW IDIOTS USE RACIAL SLURS ! IT DON'T MEAN THE WHOLE GROUP IS RACIST !
Every group on earth has a small minority of idiots ! Even the NAACP has racists in it ! Some of you are indeed racists, calling us who disagree with YOU racists just because we have a difference of opinion.
You can't paint a whole group racist just because a few morons decide to use racial slurs !
Because that is all they've got. We have all seen and heard the basketcase republicans that come onto MTO shouting and hurling insults. They cannot be reasoned with, and when you don't agree with that they say they get belligerent...almost psycho-like. They think the other side is going to want to listen to their point of views when they are acting like fools. These 'tea partiers' are nothing but gangs meant to promote hate, fear and loathing. I think the bill will pass...why b/c many of these politicians need money for their states which they have probably written into the bill.
It's funny though how republicans come out with all this crap but are the first to stick their hands out for government money. I am sure many of those tea partiers got nice hefty tax refunds. I didn't even get a damn refund, but I am ok with it because I know it is bigger than myself. This money helps people, builds roads, funds schools etc. all the things these republicans take advantage of but act as if they don't benefit.
the hc disaster is down to the wire and when liberals get desperate, the pull out the race card. this was taken directly out of the clinton play-by-play book. throw something out there that can neither be proven nor disproven and figure that at least half the people will believe it. i would only believe this if i heard it with my own ears. till then, i do not believe this happened, for one nanosecond. now. let the name calling begin. "racist, white kracka, hoe, yada, yada, yada."
Listen, f&^k racism ! The main point of the tea party in my mind is fiscal responsibilty, taxes, outta control spending by this administration, right now ! All of these points I agree with. It has nothing to do with race or racism.
Every group has its idiots. But the whole tea party is not like that. They dont hate Obama, they just disagree with "some" of his policies.
@ GREG
I agree with you. But that is NOT what happened. If we in a group protesting, and some idiots yells out a profanity or racial epiphet, it should "reflect on that guy, not the whole group" ??? Be rational. All good groups have idiots. It's inevitable. But lets not lose focus on why the group exists.
I disagree with Obama care, higher taxes, and government spending.
Tell me, How the hell does that make me a racist ???
@Kattdaddy2
I don't think you are wrong for disagreeing with Obama on the issues. As a matter of fact, I respect that. I don't think everyone should be on the same page with every issue and I actually think debate is good. But what is happening with the Tea Party is not debate and it's not good.
Sorry Kattdaddy, but when nobody calls out these racists in their own group then they are just as guilty. All good groups have idiots, that's true, but when the idiot says something so disrespectful, it's time for that group to get rid of the idiot. If they don't, then they're co-signing.
@ GREG
I agree with you wholeheartedly. But you have to understand that the majority of the tea party are just regular people who are frustrated and disagree with Obama on policy, and thats it. If some idiot yells out a profanity, it's not their fault. How do you know they didnt kick him out ? What someone says in public cannot be controlled by the group, but they can ostrasize him, and Im sure the rest of the tea party disagrees with racial slurs
Only you COON ass TRULY brainwashed house n*ggers would cosign this sh*t, why don't you teach your Becky what bling bling means or get that cracka dick out your mouth!!! Countless reports of constant derogatory comments directed at US Black people and, I suppose to accept it?! Get the f*ck outta here; not one party is perfect BUT the republikkkans are definitely at the bottom, better yet below the barrel. I choose NOT to be mentality enslaved by these crackas who say and, do whatever they want without any consequences!!!
@Kattdaddy2
I can guess they didn't kick him out because then someone had the guts to call Barney Frank a fa**ot. If they had set an example at the first person, then there would have been no more incidents of racism. But the fact is since the election in 2008, the Tea Party and a fringe element of Republicans have made it about race, and it has been tolerated. Even though some black and white citizens might disagree with them, the fact that they are so over the top with the comments turns them away. The Tea Party knows this and understands this, but racist just can't help themselves.
@Kattdaddy2
I understand your dislike of Obama's policies, but they make you, and the rest of you who disagree with the presidents policies, look bad. Instead of making excuses for them, find a group that feels as you do, but is more mature and respresents a greater segment of society, because the Tea Party isn't it.
@ GREG
(If they had set an example at the first person, then there would have been no more incidents of racism.)
Not true. No matter what good example you set. Any group is gonna have idiots. That is just the way it is. Even the NAACP has idiots. We just have to be smart enough to understand that there will always be idiots in any group at any time, and that the main part of a group does not agree with the idiots.
Bottom line, a majority of the tea party are not idiots. They are normal Americans who just disagree with some, not all, of what Obama is doin.
I also hate when blacks disagree with people, they scream racism ! Way too damn much this happens. Sure racism exists. But way too much people use racism as an excuse to discredit a group of people they disagree with.
That is also wrong. Again, you cant discredit the whole damn tea party because of a bunch of racist idiots, just like I cant (for example) discredit the nation of Islam saying all of them think white people are devils !
@Kattdaddy2
I'm curious, what would you have done if you were standing with the Tea Party and they were calling these congressmen ni**ers? These men who marched during the 60's and who were attacked just so you could have a fair shot at the American dream. What would you have done if you were there yesterday? I'm just curious.
Cmon, Im black and outspoken and I would have called him out and said he is making it bad for our cause. I would want to kick his @ss, but that would be unproductive.
Listen, black people on MTO say racist shyte about white people all damn day, and no one says shyte.....except me !
What do you say when black people say racist shyte ? Do you speak up or not ? If not, that would make you a hypocrite right ? Racism goes both ways.
@barnbrat
I saw 20 seconds of a video. That does not disprove something. The congressman has said that it happened when they were coming down the steps, in this 20 second video, I saw no steps. I saw them walking down the street. So until some reputable proof comes from a news organization that shot their own footage instead of pulling something from Youtube, then I will believe it.
@Kattdaddy2
And they would have all boo'd you and possibly kicked YOUR ass.
MTO is the Internet. I don't pay attention to what anyone says on here. Some of these people who say they are black, could be white, and vice versa. I read news from other organizations as well and I hear whites say the most racist things, but I don't pay it any attention because we are not joined in any particular group. On here, we are all just a bunch of strangers who happen to visit the same website.
i hope if my fate ever lies in the hands of a jury. they will look at all the evidence, hear all sides of a story before they "choose" to believe whether i'm guilty or innocent. politicians are some of the most corrupt individuals and if you think making a false statement is beneath them? well i have a nice bridge in brooklyn to sell you. why did no one else, conveniently, hear this? did u read the article along with the video?
@Barnbrat
I did read the long article with the video, and whoelse was supposed to hear this? The 3 congressmen said it happened, and then you have the Tea Party people, and of course they would say it didn't happen.
And I would hope that if your fate was in a fury's hands, they would look at facts, instead of an amateur video posted on Youtube. I would want better for you than that.
Like I said, if proof comes out that they lied, I will be the first to say that I was wrong. But a 20 second clip that doesn't match the statements where it happened isn't proof.
gregnlbc they interviewed blacks who were there who said they heard nothing. i'm just saying, if the incident occurred while they were walking down the capitol steps, they certainly didn't look rattled in any way. why didn't they say something to the police who must have been along the steps as well? i tell u what, i trust this camera more than i do these politicians. this whole thing smells bogus to me. it's been happening too much lately.
@barnbrat
I don't believe the 3 blacks either because they were a part of that mess. They didn't look rattled, but who could tell how someone is feeling. I'm sure they have been through much worse in their lifetime.
You're right, politicians do lie. But this has been reported by too many news organizations and has not been discounted by any Republican of note.
But like I said, I will apologize for jumping to conclusions if it comes out that this never happened. But I can understand why you would have reservations that this happened and I do respect your feelings on this issue.
@ greg
U dont know what they would have done. AGAIN, you are doin what I said earlier. Painting the whole group as racists because of the comment of 1 person. You are assuming that all tea partiers are racist because of the comments of some idiot, and that is not true. How the hell do you know if that guy was even from the tea party. He could have been just some racist idiot !
@Barnbrat
What I meant was that if they heard someone calling these 3 congressmen ni**ers and stood around and did nothing, then that would cause them to confront a very real situation that they would rather overlook.
It's okay to oppose the Health Care bill or Obama, nothing wrong with that and nothing wrong with blacks and whites coming together to voice their opinion. I happen to back the President and the HC bill, but if you agree with the Tea Party issues, then more power to you. I have no problem with that. I have a problem with the Tea Party, not the message.
@gregnlbc
black republicans are not passive individuals who go through life looking for situations to "overlook." i think of MLK as the most obvious example. it is so much easier to do what everyone else in the group is doing. let me tell you, it takes courage to stand up for what you think is right when you're in the minority. no pun intended.
@Barnbrat
Tomorrow, more news stories are going to come out from actual reporters saying they heard racist slurs from the Tea party. I can guarantee it. Then those 3 blacks will look foolish standing with a bunch of racists while they called veterans of the Civil Rights movement n*ggers.
I don't care if only "some" of the Tea Party members are racist, to me, the others stood by and let it go on, they are just as guilty. Like the old saying..."You are the company you keep".
If you don't want to be seen as racist, or anything else, then don't hang around those kinds of people.
Flag post I also hate when blacks disagree with people, they scream racism !
-----
And when we speak the truth about whites, we are racist or pullin' the race card. That is also wrong as well.
@gregnlbc for reasons that are completely irrelevant, i have more interactions with whites than the average black person. it is my opinion, that educated liberal whites are more racist than conservative whites. the problem is, they don't even know they're racist. so while you may reject the tea partiers, i reject the demo'rat party.
Obama decided NOT to repeal DONT ASK DONT TELL and the GAYS (DaGUMPs military buds) are FLAMING MADDDDD!
This past Thursday they hand cuffed themselves to the WH fence in their disgust over Obamas reneging. They got arrested and are set to be DISCHARGED!

Obama To Fire His First Gay Arabic Linguist
Dan Choi, a West Point graduate and officer in the Army National Guard who is fluent in Arabic and who returned recently from Iraq, received notice today that the military is about to fire him. Why? Because he came out of the closet as a gay man on national television.

Dan Choi Handcuffs Himself To White House In Don't Ask, Don't Tell Protest
Lt. Dan Choi, who will be discharged from the military under 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' since it has been revealed that he is gay, has chained himself to the White House in a protest of the gays in the military policy.

That is a ANOTHER FAILED PROMISE by Obama! Why hasn't he repealed it yet? What's stopping him. BOTH sides agree its an unessecary policy so he has no opposition and itz the easiest thing to repeal. ALL HE HAS TO DO IS SIGN IT!
This IS an Obama flub because he promised on the campaign trail that he would do it and Gays voted for him because of it. Then he allows a VERY USEFUL military guy to get FIRED under his watch Whats good about that?
@mizzkiki
Mad puhleaze not hardly. Like ur new avatar. Im so happy u took that obese mud duck down. Hope that wasnt u
@truthhurts28 OBAMA JUST CAN'T JUMP AND CHANGE THAT
Yes he can and he was a couple weeks and then he reneged. Whats stopping him? Why dont he give that guy his job back instead of discharging him because he's gay. He was a high ranking officer not some fresh out the box soldier
Obama to fire his first Arabic linguist because he's GAY
Dan Choi, a West Point graduate and officer in the Army National Guard who is fluent in Arabic and who returned recently from Iraq, received notice today that the military is about to fire him. Why? Because he came out of the closet as a gay man on national television.
Is it smart to fire somebody fluent in Arabic when we are at war with the MIDDLE EAST????
@mizzkiki
Dumbazz thats just 1 article from 1 source. There are plenty of articles (NOT FROM HUFFINGTON "OPINION" BLOG BUT FROM CREDIBLE POLITICAL WEBSITES) on this subject that link Obama to this. What do u think they were protesting for this last past Thursday? Obama LIED. Get over it. It aint his first time and it wont be his last

Arabic Linguist Fired From Army For Being Openly Gay
In spite of President Obama's declared stance against the "don't-ask-don't-tell" policy that keeps openly gay individuals out of the military, the U.S. Army on Thursday told Lt. Dan Choi he is being dismissed for publicly revealing his homosexuality.

Lieutenant Daniel Choi, a founding member of Knights Out, an organization of out lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) West Point Alumni, received a letter from the Department of the Army on April 23, discharging him from the Army due to his sexual orientation. Today, he published an open letter to President Obama and to all members of Congress, which reads in part:
I have personally served for a decade under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell: an immoral law and policy that forces American soldiers to deceive and lie about their sexual orientation. Worse, it forces others to tolerate deception and lying. These values are completely opposed to anything I learned at West Point. Deception and lies poison a unit and cripple a fighting force.
As an infantry officer, an Iraq combat veteran and a West Point graduate with a degree in Arabic, I refuse to lie to my commanders. I refuse to lie to my peers. I refuse to lie to my subordinates. I demand honesty and courage from my soldiers. They should demand the same from me.
It frankly boggles the mind that as the United States is in the midst of fighting two wars, highly qualified individuals are being booted from the military. Dan Choi is both a combat veteran and an Arab linguist – exactly the type of soldier we need in the Army.
I hope you’ll join me today in calling the White House switchboard at 202-456-1111 and urging President Obama not to fire Lt. Dan Choi; and to keep his promise to end “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”.

Tell the President to end the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy and not to fire Lt. Dan Choi
Lt. Dan Choi, from Orange County, California, is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an Iraq War veteran. Last March he went on Rachel Maddow's show and spoke three truthful words: "I am gay."

we're not exactly "at war with the middle east", the Iraqi and Afghan gov'ts are pro USA just there are insurgents (the Taliban, al Qaeda, etc.) that want to overthrow those gov'ts, Afghanistan is not an Arabic speaking country either, they speak mainly Dari and Pashto, the main middle eastern gov't that the USA has problems with is Iran (Syria also could be included), also Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf States are all US Allies too, other militant groups like Hezbollah and Hamas are more so against Israel due to the Israeli military aggression and occupation of Arab land
I'd like to give a shout out to all my fellow democrats who rallied around this great president and suffered racial slurs and name calling from the other side, yet we did not waver and most didn't stoop to their level, lets continue 2 show the character of our leader who has shown such humiliaty and grace under fire!!! Take note from Barack and how he continues to WIPE the dirt off his shoulders everytime and come out the Victor..he is a perfect example to follow...Anywhoo...CONGRATS TO ALL AMERICANS WHO AS HAPPY AS I AM, THAT WE HAVE MADE A START TOWARD UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE FOR ALL!!! GN..
