yep we do. our health as a nation and as a sub-group continues to deteriorate. I know and i have heard of too many black in their mid 30s suffering from heart problems caused my diet and lifestyle, diebetes, and other conditions caused by an unhealthy life style.
At 30 or 40, one is still in the prime of their lives, so these types of conditions need not be the norm |

Man I keep telling folk soul food is good but it is terrible for your system! Also it's just a slave diet carried over from those times! I ain't gone lie, I love the stuff too but I have made some changes in the last two years where I try to eat more grilled fish and plenty of fruits and veggies! I have childhood friend that is only 33 and I'm 28 and he was diagnosed with kidney failure getting dialysis still to this day becuase of a diet high in sodium and alcholism. That ish woke me up! Everyday is a new challenge but you got to do what you got to do! My folk swear I'm alway eating cause I keep pears and ish on me or at my desk all the time! |

I live in the south, where eating healty is laughed at.lol
It fuks me up when i see so many young black men and women on dialysis, blood pressure pills, have diabetes, etc. some of these folks are also teens.
cut back on the crack junk food, eat more fruits and veggies, go walking if you dont have time to exercise. soul food should not be an everyday diet, it is not healthy
drink more water and cut back on the chemical sodas.
